Non-urgent advice: GP Extended Hours

The Practice offers extended hours: Mondays 8am – 7:30pm and Wednesday 7:30am – 6:30pm

First Aid Unit Clinic (FAU) - Enhanced hours. Only at Chipping Norton Health Centre

We are able to offer appointments at the new First Aid Unit (FAU) for all patients (adults and children over 1 years old) with enhanced access hours at Chipping Norton Health Centre.

FAU appointments will be available on weekday evenings from 6.40pm to 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. They will be 20-minute appointment slots and ALL be face-to-face

Please note: This is NOT a walk-in service and patients will not be seen without an appointment.  

For data protection purposes, it is really important our patients are aware they are being seen at a clinic which has been contracted to provide this service on behalf of Cropredy Surgery and that patient's medical information will be shared with the 3rd party.  

First Aid Unit Clinics (FAU) patient data will be shared with South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). When Cropredy Surgery book an appointment, it is for attendance at the FAU in Chipping Norton. You should also be aware that the service is being provided by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) on our behalf.

Non-urgent advice: When We Are Closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

NHS Walk–In Centres

Banbury does not have a Walk-In Centre but Banbury Health Centre will see unregistered patients.

It is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm and has a limited number of appointments each day for patients who are not registered.

Coventry Walk–In Centre

Coventry Walk-In Centre is open from 7am until 7pm, 7 days a week. No appointment required. It is run by experienced NHS nurses.

Milton Keynes Walk–In Centre

Milton Keynes Walk-In Centre is open from 7am until 10pm, 365 days a year. No appointment required. Patients will be asked about their medical condition on arrival to ensure those requiring urgent medical attention are seen without delay.

Emergency Prescriptions

Emergency prescriptions may also be obtained from the out of hours service.

Staff Training and Meetings

The Practice will be closed from time to time for staff training/meetings between 1pm and 2pm.

Note: the surgery will have additional dates for whole practice training throughout the year. Please keep an eye out for our notices online, social media and in the surgery.

If you need urgent assistance during these times, call 111. If you have a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.

Important Dates

The surgery will be closed between 1pm and 6.30pm for COUNTYWIDE training on the following dates:

  • Thursday 27th June 2024

Therefore, we will be closed and DOORS locked between 1pm and 6.30pm on the 27th June 2024.

All calls will be directed to 111.
