This Fund was started in 1984 by Mr M S Gummer for the purchase and upkeep of the ECG machine which was to remain the property of the Friends. Over the years, money has been donated through the sale of books to be used for other purchases for the benefit of patients at the surgery.
Occasionally, bequests are made to the surgery and they are also paid into this account. Originally, the fund was established to purchase an ECG machine and to pay for the upkeep, it being the property of the FoCS and on loan to the Surgery. Since then, the fund has been used for the benefit of patients e.g. additions to the waiting room comfort, including a radio and toys for children.
Ideas for use of the funds are discussed at the Surgery’s PHCT (Primary Health Care Team) where all staff have an opportunity to make suggestions.
Patients who think that there is something that would be useful to have in the surgery that we could buy from this fund, should let us know by emailing: Cropredy.Surgery@nhs.net or writing to: Nicci Bennett, Practice Manager, Cropredy Surgery, Claydon Road, Cropredy Banbury OX17 1FB.
Any donations for the fund can also be made by writing to the same address, making cheques payable to Cropredy Surgery.
