Job Description:
We’re looking for two friendly and reliable people to join our busy GP practice and become part of our small, supportive Patient Services team.
This is a varied and fast-paced role at the heart of the practice, where you’ll often be the first point of contact for our patients. We’re looking for people who are approachable, organised, and able to stay calm under pressure, while providing a high standard of care and service.
The role includes a mix of tasks such as answering and making phone calls, responding to emails, booking appointments, processing prescriptions and payments, checking patients in, handling post, and scanning documents onto patient records. No two days are the same, and we’re always looking at ways to improve how we work, so being open to new ideas and confident in problem-solving is really important.
We’re looking for team players who can juggle priorities, communicate clearly, and remain polite and positive—even in busy or challenging situations.
We are recruiting two people to share the following shifts. The exact split of hours will be discussed and agreed at interview and offer stage:
- Monday: 12:00 -17:00
- Tuesday: 14:00 -17:00
- Wednesday: 13:15 -17:00
- Thursday: 12:00 - 17:00
- Friday: 12:30 -18:30
You’ll also need to be willing to help cover colleagues’ annual leave or sickness from time to time, sometimes at short notice.
For the right person, we would also consider combining these hours into a single role of 22.75 hours per week.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
