Patients' Participation Group

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

Our patients' group has been in existence since 2005 advising us on developments and responding to consultations and patients' surveys. The small group meet a few times a year and is very helpful to the work of the practice by giving us an unbiased view of the service.

We look forward to any comments that you have or welcoming you to our Patients' Participation Group (PPG).

Our latest PPG was held at Cropredy Surgery on 7th December 2023.

Patients Participation in Local Health Services

There are a number of ways that patients can be involved with and influence their local health services. Within Cropredy Surgery, we have a meeting of our patients’ group and also an online ‘virtual’ group.

Any of our patients is welcome to come along to the meetings at the practice by contacting the practice manager via email cropredy.surgery@nhs.net or asking at reception. If you don’t want to come to the meetings, but would still like to be involved by being part of our ‘virtual’ group using emails, please let us know and we will add you to our distribution list.

Outside the practice there is a growing network of patients involved in their local NHS www.healthwatchoxfordshire.co.uk and Local Involvement Network (LINK) are keen to hear from interested patients.

There is more information about Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group on their website http://www.oxfordshireccg.nhs.uk/

This is your opportunity to be involved, so do get in touch.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire is Looking for Volunteers:

Healthwatch Oxfordshire is the consumer watchdog for health and social care in Oxfordshire. One of the most important things we do is to listen to people’s views about how social and health care is being provided in their area.

Outreach volunteers are an important part of our engagement team, they are the voice of Healthwatch Oxfordshire (HWO) and without them we would not be able to reach as many people as we do. Volunteers support our staff team to engage with people at a range of events and locations across Oxfordshire.

There are lots of opportunities here to meet new people, build your confidence, have some fun, as well as contributing to making that all important difference to the overall improvement of our local services.
